Of course the whole thing works tool-free by means of DIP switches on the top of the cable, which determine the individual assignment of Tx, Rx and GND at the Phoenix output. This way, within a few seconds the respective assignment of the device can be adapted to the target configuration without the need for any tools.
Thanks to its very strong contact force with integrated strain relief and a solid transition of the robust connector to the bend protection, signal failures are now finally a thing of the past, even for RS232. This makes it perfectly suited for heavy-duty field use and offers maximum operational reliability for any installation.
The cable is equipped with a 9-pin D-type (D-Sub) connector on one side and a 3-pin Phoenix terminal on the other side. The cable length is 1.5 meters, perfect for hard-to-reach devices.
