PT-IP-HD2K-TX – HDMI over IP Transmitter: H.264 Encoding and 2K Signal Distribution for Networked AV Systems
The PT-IP-HD2K-TX transmitter employs H.264 encoding to facilitate HDMI signal distribution across standard IP networks, supporting scalable AV deployments in meeting rooms, signage environments, and control rooms. Its design accommodates video extension and matrix configurations, with loop-through for local monitoring and flexible network topologies using CAT6a or higher cabling. Power over Ethernet (PoE) simplifies installation by eliminating the need for dedicated power supplies, while support for multiple streaming protocols ensures integration with a range of AV-over-IP infrastructures. Remote device management is enabled through transmission of IR and RS232 control signals alongside video.

• H.264 IP Streaming: Supports real-time H.264 encoding of HDMI signals, enabling efficient video transmission over IP networks. This approach reduces bandwidth requirements while maintaining image quality, making it suitable for distributed AV systems in workspaces and control environments.

• 1080p HDMI Extension and Matrix: Facilitates extension, distribution, and video matrix functionality for 1080p HDMI signals over Cat.X cabling up to 120 metres. This enables flexible signal routing and content delivery across multiple endpoints in large-scale AV installations.

• IR and RS232 Control Signal Transmission: Transmits IR and RS232 control signals in parallel with video streams, supporting remote management of connected devices. This feature is essential for centralised control in conference rooms, digital signage, and hybrid AV setups.

• PoE Network Switch Powering: The transmitter can be powered directly via a PoE-enabled network switch, reducing cabling complexity and streamlining deployment in rack-mounted or ceiling-mounted AV systems.

• Multi-Protocol Streaming Support: Compatible with RTSP, RTP, HTTP-FLV, UDP, and TCP protocols, supporting both Unicast and Multicast modes. This ensures interoperability with a wide range of AV-over-IP platforms and network architectures.
