4K video matrixing over IP
The 3G Ultra HD over IP transmitters and receivers can send 4K (2160p) and UHD video with HDCP 2.2, as well as 1080p and lower resolution content, from a mixture of HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.x source devices to any number and combination of HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.x displays over a standard Gigabit network.
Unlike other IP-based solutions, theres no need to use a costly 10Gb Managed Switch or fibre optic cabling. All that is needed to create any size of 4K-capable HDMI matrix is a single 3G Ultra HD over IP transmitter per HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 1.x source, a Layer 3 Gigabit Managed Switch, a 3G receiver per HDMI 2.0 or 1.x screen and a compatible control system atop aCat 5e / 6 cabling infrastructure.

Specific Features of VBS-HDIP-IRD:
- The so called "Flux Capacitor" IR Dongle provides IR control of endpoint devices for all 2G and 3G products
- Connects the RS232 output of the source / display device to the RS232 input port of the IR Dongle
- The dongle then converts the signal to IR and emits it through the included IR emitter to be received by the device that is to be controlled
- Easy conversion of RS232 to IR signals to connect to a transmitter or receiver
- Compatible with Pronto and Global Cache IR codes
- Powered by any USB port, USB-D input
- Use the IR Dongle combined with the drivers to control all of your IR devices over a single IP connection

How to build a 4K over IP matrix...
One Transmitter per signal source.
A supported Gigabit Managed switch with the right number of ports. One port for each 3G device plus one additional port connected to your data network.
One Receiver per display. Receivers (3G Models) can downscale 4K HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2-encrypted content to 1080p for viewing on a legacy HDMI display creating a seamless and versatile HDMI matrix, all while managing audio and HDR.
You can even watch HDR 4K content on any 4K or 1080p screen at the same time without sacrificing quality. Each zone always gets the best picture possible.
Cabling: Use Cat 5e /Cat 6/7 for distances up to 330 ft or fiber optic cabling for distances up to 10 km.
Control System Integration: A range of fully supported professional drivers are available free of charge for all major control brands.
Enterprise Network Software: A software suite that is specifically designed to control, manage, and monitor an UltraHD over IP system.


We exclusively recommend the use of "Luxul" brand Ethernet switches (to be found here in the shop under "LUX-") for the use with Just-Add-Power devices!

If you want to use a third-party switch, please keep in mind the following information regarding the required product features:
1. Layer 3 (Managed Switch)
2. Jumbo frame support (enabled and set to "high" - for Luxul switches, this is already done via JADConfig)
3. PoE support (if no power supply is to be used)

Further, JAP devices and the third-party switch cannot be configured using JADConfig, so each device and the third-party switch must be configured separately and manually!
In addition, the control options via "MediaSwitcher" are not available - additional hardware / software is required.
We also ask for your understanding that we cannot offer direct support for configuration and / or control of your JAP system if you use it with a third-party switch.
