PureTools PT-CAM-200 4K ePTZ Camera
PT-CAM-200 is a 4K ePTZ camera equipped with stereo microphone and auto-framing function. It captures images at 4K@30Hz resolution and features a 25mm² (1/2.5") CMOS sensor with 8.57 megapixels. The algorithm-driven auto-framing function always focuses exactly on the image section where faces are detected. The absence of any mechanical components results in a significantly lower susceptibility to error than with conventional, servomotor-controlled PTZ cameras. This allows the design to be much smaller, making the camera quiet and unobtrusive in operation. The camera is connected with only one USB-C cable, which is responsible for power supply and data transfer. It is compatible with all major operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android and many more, and has been tested for use with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype, Google Meets and many more.
PureTools - High-grade electronic products for commercial applications
The 4K ePTZ camera PT-CAM-200 combines all the advantages of PTZ cameras in a much more compact chassis. Conventional PTZ cameras determine the optimal image section on which the faces of all participants are clearly visible and dynamically adjust it to the situation, e.g. when someone changes position in the room. This is made possible by three electric motors that mechanically adjust the vertical and horizontal position as well as the zoom factor. ePTZ cameras, on the other hand, determine the desired image section by software and adjust it not mechanically with three servo motors, but by an algorithm at software level. Due to the lack of mechanical components, an ePTZ camera is less prone to errors and quieter than conventional PTZ cameras. On top of that, they are much smaller and less obtrusive in the room, perfect for aesthetic working and learning environments where the hardware cannot be constantly replaced.
PT-CAM-200 features a 1/2.5 CMOS sensor with 25mm² sensor area and 8.57 megapixels for 4K / UltraHD resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 30Hz refresh rate.
The outgoing video feed is MJPEG or H264 encoded and supports resolutions between 240p up to 2160p (H264) or 1080p (MJPEG).
The wide-angle lens provides a FOV (Field-of-View) of 110° (horizontal), 87° (vertical) and 120° (diagonal) with a focal length of 2.2mm and iris F2.4. The exposure time is 1/60 to 1/10,000s with min. 10 lux ambient light.
The integrated stereo microphone captures the acoustic ambience perfectly, so that all participants are always clearly audible.
As an alternative to the auto-framing function, a remote control is also available for manual control of the camera. A dedicated OSD (On-Screen Display) thus enables simple, individual set-up and operation.
The side mounted USB-C connection is compatible with devices that support the USB 3.X or 2.0 standard. When connected to a USB 2.0 port, only the colour bitrate is lowered, not the resolution. The USB-C connection enables power supply and data transfer via a single cable.
The compact design of only 278 x 34 x 56mm with a weight of 400g enables installation in virtually any environment without attracting much attention and is thus also suitable for very slim TV sets.
PT-CAM-200 has been designed and tested for use with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype, Google Meets and more. It is compatible with all major operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.
It is also supported by devices compatible with UVC (USB Video Class) specification 1.0 to 1.4, so it does not necessarily need to be operated via a PC with an operating system.
